At the heart of everything, Kara Gold-Harris is a mama – her greatest joy and inspiration. Deeply rooted in her hometown of Tampa Bay, she has spent over fifteen years sharing her passion for storytelling with the community she loves. A graduate of Flagler College with a degree in Theatre Arts and a 2026 City of St. Petersburg Individual Artist Grant recipient, Kara has brought countless stories to life since 2011 as a professional director and performer. Throughout her career, she has also worked as a teaching artist, administrator, stage manager, and designer, helping audiences and young imaginations alike discover the magic of live performance.

A true creative spirit, Kara is also the creator of Musical Stories with Miss Kara, an interactive music and storytime experience for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and their grown-ups. Combining children’s literature, live singing, ukulele, movement, and imaginative play, she brings books to life at libraries, schools, community events, and birthday celebrations throughout the Tampa Bay area. Whether she’s performing on stage, directing a production, capturing moments behind a camera, or leading a room full of little voices in song, Kara is happiest creating meaningful experiences that spark curiosity, creativity, and connection.

Beyond theatre and performance, Kara’s creative curiosity has led her in many directions. Her photography portfolio includes weddings, community events, professional headshots, and family portraits. In the fall of 2025, she completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. Both pursuits have deepened her appreciation for presence, connection, and storytelling – qualities she strives to bring to every creative collaboration.
